HI, I’M AFURE!

I’m a designer driven by curiosity, storytelling, and the intersection of research, technology, and visual communication. I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Design from The Ohio State University’s Design Research and Development program, where my work explored emerging technologies and their potential in design and design research. During my graduate studies, I deepened my expertise in co-design and user experience research while exploring the Research through Design (RtD) approach.

I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Alongside my academic career, I competed as a sprinter at the collegiate level and internationally for Team Papua New Guinea—experiences that shaped my discipline, resilience, and collaborative mindset.

My work focuses on brand identity and digital experiences, translating research and insight into thoughtful, visually compelling solutions across print and digital platforms. I’m particularly interested in designing work that is both strategically grounded and visually engaging.

With an internationally influenced background and an athlete’s mindset, I approach design with curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to continuous growth.
